Making
Sense of the Bible is the first of a number of six-session courses that
are planned under the series title Foundations21 Essentials. Each
course provides PowerPoint slides with leader's notes, plus video clips
and handouts for the group. Each week there is something to do at home
for the participants. Members of the group are encouraged to explore
further each week's topic within Foundations21 itself, where they will
find a wealth additional material. The hope is that they will then
continue their discipleship journey exploring the other Rooms (for example,
Jesus, Worship, Mission, and so on) on their own.
Making Sense of the Bible aims to give an introduction to the grand
story that scripture tells and discover how it relates to our own story.
Making
Sense of the Bible is provided on a CD-ROM. As the first in the
Foundations21 Essentials series, Making Sense of the Bible is available
free of charge, although we would be grateful for a donation towards
the cost of producing and making it available. Further courses in this
series are under development and will be available to purchase from
later in 2009.

are finding this an ideal way both to enthuse people to engage with the
Bible and also to introduce them to Foundations21 itself.' Alastair Macnaughton
